Business English
Course Description
Global College’s 8 week to 12 week intensive BE course is designed to help students gain the skills necessary to successfully work in an English speaking environment. The course will be divided into 3 sessions. The first session will be covering selected material from the Cambridge course and will cover all four skills, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The second session will also deal with selected material from Cambridge. The third session of the day will either be based on supplemental material from the BE course, or will focus on intense business discussions covering a range of topics that may occur in a business setting. On Friday, there will be a weekly presentation where students will have to present a ten minute speech on one of the week’s topics.
Once you have taken these courses, a workplace preparation course, and interview skills course will be available. The last portion of this course will focus on Canadian business culture. These courses will help make you a more viable, and employable candidate not only in the British Columbian job market, but the wider Canadian job market as well.
