I have just finished quiz #5 and got two questions incorrect. First one was a true/false question asking whether you should add at most two skills into your practice activities or not. I had my answer as false because I believe that you mentioned on your video that we should add at least two skills not at most two skills. I personally believe that we should include more than two skills to improve students' English level.
Second one was asking whether it is equally as important to know what new vocabulary and structure will be taught in a class. I believe you also mentioned on your video that some new vocabularies are passive and spending time on teaching structure is more important than teaching passive vocabularies.
Please let me know why answers are wrong. I hope to hearing from you.
Thank you.

Hi Phoung Thi Ngoc Nguyen,
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to you. We just had a long holiday weekend over here in Canada and I was busy spending time with my family. I usually respond much sooner!
Anyhow, let's take a look at your questions. In regards to your first question about quiz 5, the difficult part of this question concerns the wording of the question itself. To be honest I can't remember exactly what I said in module 5, but I think I did mention that we should not include more than 2 skills. The reason why is because by including more than 2 skills you make the lesson convoluted, and the lesson will lose its focus. I understand that many teachers would like to include all four skills, but in a single lesson, it is not a good idea. However, over a week's worth of teaching, we should do our best to cover all skills. If I did say "at least 2 skills" then there is a major problem with the video, and it needs to be changed.
In regards to your second question about whether it is equally important to know what new vocabulary and what new structures we will teach in a lesson, I have to disagree. I understand your opinion, but some lessons just focus on teaching vocabulary, others on just a structure (or structures) and some lessons focus on both vocabulary and structures. Regardless of which one we're focusing on, we should be prepared to teach both, and thus both are equally important, despite the fact that some vocabulary may be passive.
Well, I hope that helps. If not, just post again and have a wonderful day!
