Could you explain more about the following question?

Final test No. 2
“What is the dog in the middle of the picture doing?” is a good example of a question that gets students to interpret something or use their imaginations.

I chose number 1 but the correct answer was number 2. Please tell my why.

Thank you very much!!!

Hi Bo Young Lee,

Option 1 is true, and option 2 is false, right?  I ask, because I don't deal with the T/F questions and multiple choice questions.

The answer should be "false".  The reason why is because if we can see what the dog is doing, then there are not many possible answers.  When we ask questions to get students to interpret a question, or use their imaginations, these questions should not really have an answer; rather, they should have an almost infinite number of answers, because it just depends on student's imaginations.  Therefore, the answer is false.

I hope that helps.  If not, please post again and I'll try to get back to you asap!

Have a wonderful day!
