Hello, Allan!
I hope you are having a great holiday :-)

While I was reviewing courses, I realized that I've got a confusion between Production stage and Writing stage.

I feel like I can use free writing activity as a kind of production stage task.
Is it possible?
If I can use freer writing activity as a practicing activity, is it considered as production stage or writing stage?

I hope you are clear with my answers.

Thanks,
Best Regards

Hi Minji Kim,

This honestly is very confusing.  Just think about it this way:  if you are going to create an activity where students will have to write a paragraph or more using recently taught vocabulary and/or structures AND you plan on providing them with a model text or doing oral prep, it should be part of a writing stage.  If you are going to have students write something shorter and then use it in a free way, to perhaps do oral practice, it should be part of a production stage.

Does that make sense?  If not, please get back to me, and have a wonderful day!

Thanks for your kind explanation! Although it's still very confusing as you said. Haha! But I think I got your point :)
Have a wonderful day too!
