First of all, I'm sorry for answer your question so late!  Anyhow, the value of using English in class is that it gives students more practice in listening to and responding to spoken English.  It will also help them pick up words that go beyond the textbook.  Also, by using English in the classroom we can send a message to our students that English is a real language, not just from a textbook, that can be used for genuine communication.
