Q1. A consultant may charge a high hourly fee, but the time spent with one can put a struggling company on the right track, especially when the wolf is at the door.

>여기에서 the wolf is at the door를 '파산직전' 으로 해석 가능한가요?

[K to E]
You should have no problem getting a refund unless you do not have the proof of purchase.

>the 대신 'a' proof of purchase 도 가능한가요?

The office staff decided what to purchase after they looked around a few models of the furniture.

He took it the wrong way.

> Don’t get me wrong. He took/got it wrong.

Hello Seyoung!

Great questions! Here are my answers.

>여기에서 the wolf is at the door를 '파산직전' 으로 해석 가능한가요?

-> Yes, I think so!

-> “A proof” is wrong. We generally don’t count the word “proof” therefore, “a proof” and “proofs” are both grammatically not correct.

-> Technically speaking no. However, it is common in colloquial speaking.

For example, you generally would not write anything like “He is a staff at Walmart.” It should be “He is a staff member at Walmart” or “He is on Walmart staff.”

However, in real life, it wouldn’t be too weird to hear someone saying “Are you a staff?” as in (혹시 점원이세요?)

He took it the wrong way.

> Don’t get me wrong. He took/got it wrong.

-> Yes indeed. Although, the expression “he took it wrong” sounds like (그는 잘못 이해했다) where “he got it wrong” sounds more like (그는 틀렸다/잘못 알고있다)

I hope it helps!
