  • Interpret consecutively, not simultaneously.
> Does it mean I shouldn't interpretate while the original audio is being played?

  • Not split one question into multiple parts.
> Do not split one original sentence into multiple sentences? Is this what it means?

Furthermore, I have already uploaded the Module2 homework. According to the rule, I'm not supposed to include the audio of the original questions but I did. Please understand that I have recorded it before my first homework got scored.

Hello Seyoung,

Interpret consecutively, not simultaneously.
> Does it mean I shouldn't interpretate while the original audio is being played?

-> Yes that's correct. Please do not interpret while the original audio is being played! You are doing consecutive interpretation (순차통역) not simultaneous interpretation (동시통역). If you are asking whether you should include the original audio file in your recording or not, that is up to you but I suggest you don't if you can.

Not split one question into multiple parts.
> Do not split one original sentence into multiple sentences? Is this what it means?

-> Yes that is correct as well. Your recording should not split the question into two or more parts.

For example, if the original question was to interpret: "Mason loves french fries. He went to McDonald's yesterday."

Your recording should be: "메이슨은 감자튀김을 좋아합니다. 그는 어제 맥도날드에 갔습니다."

Your recording should NOT be:
[Mason loves french fries] *Pause the audio* "메이슨은 감자튀김을 좋아합니다." *Restart the audio*
[He went to McDonald's yesterday] *Pause the audio* "그는 어제 맥도날드에 갔습니다."

I hope this is clear!
