This letter concerns Mr.kim, who I had the pleasure of working with while he was here in Korea.

But, when i saw the class, teacher translated this sentence

- 그가 한국에 있었던 동안에 저랑 함께 즐겁게 일한 미스터 김에 관한 일로 이 편지를 드립니다.
I cannot understand exactly yet.

One sentence can be translated in many different ways indeed and I personally think your translation sounds perfectly fine.
