[Business Translation (Advanced - ITT Level 1,2)] I have some questions (K to E Module 1)

Hello, I am Heung Su Kim
Whenever I translate or interpret sentences I exactly don't know how to use " article " and "Singular number or Plural number "
I always try to study English with foreigner's perspective but these are really hard for me.

For example,

16. 소매상은 경영주들이 경영혁신을 통해 항상 사업을 최고로 이끌어왔기 때문에 불경기를 이겨 내었다.
The retailers overcame recessions because the managers always led the business to success with the management innovations.

1. why " 소매상은 " is " The retailers " ?
Because " 소매상 " means general retailers?
and what is the article " the " ?

2. " 불경기 " also means general " recession " ?
So that is why i can use plural number?
but Isn't the word " recession " uncountable noun?

3. Korean translation is just " 경영주들이 " then why should i use " The " managers?
I guess.. As I see a perspective of the retailers, I know who the managers are?
That is why I use the article " the " ??

4. " the management innovations "
why do i use " the " and " - s "

Please help me to understand these things.
And if you have any tips regarding these, let me know.

I understand that these must be confusing and frustrating but these are not the question that I can answer here unfortunately.

What I think is going to be useful for you is to learn when to use 'a' vs 'the' and what the difference is. The major difference is whether the context exists or not. I am sure there are going to be many YouTube videos or online learning classes/materials/resources you can use to learn this. Once you understand this concept clearly, you will be able to answer most of the questions yourself.

When it comes to translating, the usage of articles isn't going to be the biggest issue. For instance, both "The instructor answered the student's question" and "An instructor answered a student's question" will be translated as "강사가 학생의 질문에 답변을 했다." Now the difference of the sentences would be whether there exists context or not.
