What Is Hospitality Management Certificate Program?

 

Hospitality Management Certificate Program (6+6)

This program is designed for students who wish to have a thriving and successful career or opportunity in the hospitality industry. The renowned American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and Glenn College have collaborated to create a program with hands-on training and co-op placement for application of skills and real-life practice. This program will equip students with the communicative skills and knowledge they need to be a highly qualified professional in this field.

HOW to Process The Hospitality Management Certificate Program

 

This program is six months of in-class course work and classroom simulations broken into 6 individualized hospitality specific courses followed by a six month co-op placement.

 

  1. This program involves 6 courses. Each course is a duration of 4 weeks.
  2. Each course has 3 weekly tests based on the material covered in that week.
  3. There is a cumulative final based on all the material from the course.
  4. There will be an individual assignment and group assignment given at separate times throughout the course.
  5. Successful completion of each course will be granted a certificate for the course completion.
  6. Upon successfully completing all 6 courses and the 6 month co-op placement, students will be granted 6 course certificates from AHLEI and the Hospitality Management Certificate from Glenn College

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Proof of English proficiency through one of the following :

  1. BC English 12 with a minimum C+ grade
  2. IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL band 46 - 59 or TOEC band 605 - 780
  3. Glenn College/ Global College English Proficiency Test with an 80% minimum.

Grading Policy

 

Students must successfully complete 6 courses (including all chapter tests, cumulative tests, individual and group assignments) with a minimum score of 70% per course. If these requirements are met, students may proceed to the 6-month co-op placement. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LOA), a reference letter, six course certificates from AHLEI and a Glenn College Hospitality Management Certificate.
