Good afternoon teacher Grace

I'd like to ask you some questions

11.    경기에서 거친 행동을 보이기 전까지 우린 그 사람을 매우 점잖은 사람이라 생각했다.
We thought he was very introverted/calm until we saw his wild behavior at the game

You said that we use 'at' to highlight the location (when it is the location that matters)
and that in the sentence above, if we use 'in', 'he' is considered to be a player

I think 'he' in this sentence is a player according to the Korean text
The text sounds like : He showed a uproarious behavior "while playing game (in the game)"
So, I think we can use 'in' in this sentence
What do you think about this?

12.    그 여자의 가장 유명한 작품에서 나타나는 수줍음은 그 여자가 실제로 내성적이라는 사실을 말해준다
Her most famous works shows that (or the fact) she is an introvert

You said 'works' is plural in this sentence. If so, why 'shows' and not 'show'? I heard you clearly pronounce 'shows'

Can you please clarify this ?

18.    John은 Buggi와 똑 같은 경력과 학력을 가지고 있다.

John has the same background and education as Buggi
My translation: John has the same career and the same academic background as those of Buggi

Can you look at my sentence?
I was wondering if we can use 'career' and 'those of' here

21.    우리가 그 지원자에게 성장배경과 경험에 대해 물었을 때 그 지원자가 얼버무리고 있다는 것을 알았다.
We realized/found the candidate was too ambiguous (evasive) when asked for his background and work experience

Can I use 'ask about' here?
I think I can because it gives meaning of asking general questions about the candidate

Thank you for your attention

-> If that is your interpretation - meaning, if that’s how you understood, I believe that would be absolutely correct.

-> To be precise, it is grammatically correct to say “show” rather than “shows” as it is indeed plural as you mentioned. However, it is also quite common to say “the works of someone” in a colloquial sense even when there is only one piece of work that is really known to the public.

Yes you can but saying the “same” twice makes it redundant so you could perhaps say “John has the same career and academic… etc”
