1. 이로써 2006 년 이후 현재까지 난민 자격으로 미국에 입국한 탈북민은 214 명으로 늘어났다.

This increases the number of refugees in the USA to 214 since 2006.

Grace mentioned that I could also say ' there are 214 refugees since 2006.' 
however, I think the appropriate interpretation should be 'there have been 214 refugees since 2006.' 

Could you tell me what you think about this?

-> When you say “There have been”, I think it brings in the connotation that it might no longer be “214 refugees” anymore in the present. It would be correct to use if the context is focusing on the present not having “214 refugees”.

2. National Pride 국가적 자부심
This word was from the article talking about 12 fun facts about Canada. Can you let me know if the word 'National Pride' works in the following sentence;


Blaire felt national pride at the time she knew that Samsung pay is supported also in Malaysia.
블레어는 삼성페이가 말레이시아에서도 지원 된다는 사실을 알았을 때 국뽕에 차올랐다.


-> Haha I love this! My opinion is yes! I think the word “patriotism” also gets used commonly in this context!

3. “트럼프정부 들어 처음으로 탈북민 2 명 난민자격 美 입국”
This was from the module 2-1 Interpretation(K-E) TCT passage.
Grace mentioned that we don't always have to interpret the title when interpreting.

So whenever I come across this kind of political news, can I omit the headline or the title when interpreting?
I would like to know your thoughts on this.

-> I think that heavily depends on what types of interpreting. If that’s what the instructor Grace mentioned, she most likely meant it for the course. In real life, we interpret if it is indeed said by the speaker and if deemed necessary in the case of sight translation.
