I would like to ask a question regarding Lesson 7 in Module 4. (Practising Structures)

In section 2 - Meaningful & Mechanical practice, it was told that example 1a is a way of single word prompt. 

However, what I thought is that it is more like Substitute as students can just replace the words repeating the same structured sentences. On the other hand, I understood that single word prompt provides more chances for students to think and process it in their brain. As per the example of the material for single word prompt, when teachers provide the words "cinema" or "football"I students should think about what verbs are to be used for those nouns and then they would answer " go" and "play"

Please kindly correct me where it is wrong. 
Are the meaningful and mechanical practices are not supposed to be categorized by the 5 methods of practicing structures in section 1?
