Hi this is Seo Ye-Won
In Module4, Korean to English homework, I don't understand Question no. 5
Why do I have to use 'before you leave the office' even though the situation is past tense. Can I translate this phrase 'before you left the office.'?

Thank you

Hi Ye-Won!

Good catch! The proper grammar in this case indeed should be "before you left the office." Saying "before you leave the office" could indicate that the person has not left the office yet as of the moment they get the copy of the rental agreement and the key.

I hope this is clear!
