I just wanted to let you know how much of an impact you've had on my lives.
I really enjoyed your lessons. Thank you so much.
Lastly, I have a question:-)
How to teach phonics??? Could you give me some good ideas?
Could you recommend me some books ?
This question is not for lesson plan:-)
Sincerely,
Si-Hyun, Park.

Hi Si-Hyun Park,
Wow, thank you so much Si-Hyun! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the course and that you were able to learn a lot throughout it.
Unfortunately teaching phonics is something that we did not really discuss during the TESOL class, mainly because there basically wasn't enough times. I always recommend that when it comes to teaching phonics to teach a bit slowly, use repetition (which might be boring, but is necessary), and use a lot of songs to try to make the class more interesting.
I asked one of my coworkers who teaches phonics for younger students to recommend a good text. She recommended "Jolly Phonics". The link to their page and store: https://www.jollylearning.co.uk/product-category/us-shop/phonics-resources-us-shop/?clear-cart=1
Personally, I have not taught phonics to younger students for a long time, so if I were you, I would check out "Jolly Phonics" and some other resources.
Anyhow, I hope that helps, and I am really touched by your kind words. Thank you so much, and have a wonderful weekend!
