정부는 어떻게 그 많은 원어민 교사를 구해 영어를 가르치게 할 수 있을까? 이것은 탁상공론에 지나지 않으며 정말 어처구니없는 짓이다.

위의 번역은 강의에서 들은 모범 번역인데요, 문맥상, 해당 이슈가 '탁상공론'으로써 실행되지 않고 말로만 논쟁이 되어서 어처구니가 없는 것이 아니라 많은 원어민 교사를 구할 수 없는 점, 그리고 비용이 많이 드는 점 등 현실적이지 못하기 때문에 아직까지는 탁상공론일 수 밖에 없다고 하는 것 같습니다. 따라서 제 소견으로는 'unrealistic' 이기 때문에 'not possible to be implemented' 로 마지막 문장이 구성되어야 더 적절하지 않나 싶어서 여쭤봅니다.

I do agree with your point mostly, but if we want to say "not possible because it is unrealistic" probably saying "it isn't feasible" rather than "not possible to be implemented" in my opinion. So I think the last sentence should be basically revised to "Since this policy is not feasible, it will be a waste of time."
