I'm just confused
should I mark writing task during the class
or should I just spend my own time after the class

(you mentioned we need to think about ourselves too.. haha so )
which way is the best? maybe get them to do something different activity while im marking in the class?

Hi Joo Ree Ahn,

I'm so sorry that I missed your question!  I guess I saw that someone responded to your question and then thought that I had responded!  My mistake!

Anyhow, in regards to your question, I would say that it would be ideal if you could mark your students' writing activity during class, but this is not always possible.  In my own experience, depending on how difficult and how long the writing assignment was, it is usually not possible to mark it during class.  However, if you have a good activity for them to do independently, then you can go ahead and mark.  However, like I said before, in my own experience, I often have to mark it later after class.

In regards to your other question about improvising, while I do think it is good to be able to improvise, I always think that it is better to prepare ahead of time, and it is always good to have material prepared.  That being said, there will be times when your students finish the activity/assignment early, and you might not have anything else to do.  In this case, you can improvise!

Well, I hope that helps and sorry again about taking so long to answer your questions.  Have a good day!
