Hi Allan, I have a question for question 2 from activity 5.

In the video you put crosses on the table for strategy A and D for 'giving lazy students a chance not to answer'. If they choose to simply 'lipsync' for A or stay silent or not raising hands for D, doesn't this mean that these strategies are giving them chance not to answer thus there should be ticks instead? Or have I understood wrongly somewhere about these?

Thanks,
Taehoon.

Hi Taehoon Kang,

Good question!  Anyhow, you're right, strategies A and D give lazy students a chance to answer, so it seems like I should have given them a checkmark, right?  Well, I believe I did explain that the X (cross) does not necessarily mean that it is wrong, but it means that it is bad.  So while it is true that those strategies give lazy students a chance not to answer, it is bad, and therefore I gave them an X (or cross).

Does that make sense?  If not, please post again, and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Oh, and have a wonderful weekend!
