If I present a new word
Do I need to write the word on the board.

1. what color is it?
2. when can we see the color?
3. do you know some stuff that is covered with white?

Hi again Seulbi,

It depends on whether you are eliciting or presenting.  If you are presenting a new word to your students, you are simply trying to explain the meaning.  In this case it would be a good idea to write the word on the board first, and then present the meaning using English examples, drawings, pictures, etc.

If you are eliciting a word, you are trying to get your students to guess a word.  In this case you should ask your students a series of questions and/or give them hints, in order to get them to guess the word.  After students have correctly guess the word THEN you should write the word on the board, but only after they have successfully guess the word.

Well, I hope that makes sense.  If not, please post again and have a wonderful day!
