Hello, teacher Allen. I have two questions to make sure of myself.
I was a bit confused about this question. I chose 'true' because I remember that teachers need to prepare questions and hints in advance before the class. But was it actually 'false' because you need to improvise for oral prep as well?
2. Substitution and Model text
How are they different? Both of them look similar because they are about giving an example sentence to the students, and they have to write down based on the same structure.

Hi Jae Kyung Park,
Let's take a look at those questions:
1. Yes, you can just improvise. While it is suggested that you prepare to elicit vocabulary if you do not feel comfortable eliciting without preparing, it is not necessary if you have enough experience or if you think the vocabulary that you are going to elicit is quite easy.
2. Substitution is a practice activity where you give students one sentence with a similar meaning to the original structure that was just presented. A model text is a whole text (minimum one paragraph) and is used by students as a basis for their own writing. This is obviously used when doing a free-writing activity. They are different in that they are used in different contexts (stages), and in their length.
Does that make sense? Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you and have a nice day!
