This is Julie Han who studies the business interpretation course at Advanced level.
I always appreciate your help and detail explanations in your lecture.
However, sometimes, I couldn't fully understand my doubts on questions.
The below statements are my questions to resolve.
For Q9. 그의 모난 성격, can we translate it into ugly personality?
FOr Q11. 매우 점잖은 사람, can we translate it into being very polite?
For Q18. 똑같은 경력, can we translate it into equal than the same?
For Q21. 얼버무리고 있다, can we translate it into hesitate?
Thank you!

Hello Julie!
Good to see you here on the Q&A board and thank you so much for the questions!
Let’s see if I can help :)
———————————————
For Q9. 그의 모난 성격, can we translate it into ugly personality?
-> Yes, I would say so? 모난 성격 sounds like 못난 성격 and yes you can say someone has a ugly personality. (Except that sounds really mean...)
———————————————
FOr Q11. 매우 점잖은 사람, can we translate it into being very polite?
-> Yes, you can. However, personally I would choose “well-mannered” over “polite” because being polite sounds “예의바른” in almost all of cases.
———————————————
For Q18. 똑같은 경력, can we translate it into equal than the same?
-> Yes you can!
———————————————
For Q21. 얼버무리고 있다, can we translate it into hesitate?
-> Not quite. When you say someone hesitates, you are saying “주저하다”, “멈칫하다”, “망설이다” because you are not certain about something. The expression “얼버무리다” sounds like you are not saying something clearly, or you are not finishing your sentence properly.

I hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions anytime! :)
Stay safe,
- Mason (Instructor)
