Hi Mason

I'm enjoying my class and I have been very satisfied with your lecture videos.
Your explanation both English and Korean is very understandable so far.

Regarding result of midterm exam I have questions with no.9.

1. Diets look forward to menu that not only to lose weight but to relieve or prevent disease in everywhere.

->what is the grammar mistake? 'that' shouldn't be used in this sentence? then can i use which?
I learnt not only~ but(also) construction. what is wrong with this?

2. It would be better to try __ natural way other than miracle drugs from firmly established pharmaceutical companies.
-> Can i use 'rather than' instead of 'other than'?

I look forward to your reply.
Thanks.

Hello Jiyeon!

I am really glad to hear that you are satisfied with my lecture videos! :) Thank you for asking questions on the Q&A board as well.

Let's see if I can help!

-> To fix the grammar mistake here while keeping the sentence structure you used, you could say

"Diets look forward to menu that is not only to lose weight, but also to relieve or prevent disease everywhere.

First, you would say "It would be best to try a more natural way..."

For your question, it actually does not matter whether you use 'rather than' or 'other than', the problem was more of altering meaning in your sentence.

To say "확고히 자리를 굳힌 제약회사가 만든 특효약이 있지만..." instead of "other than", I think it would be better if you said,

"It would be best to try a more natural way although there are miraculous drugs from firmly established pharmaceutical companies."

--------

I hope this helps!
