Hello.
I would like to ask you a question about social language.
If we take a social language activity into the beginning of the lesson, which stage is it regarded as?
Speaking stage?
If it is a speaking stage, is the order below possible in lesson plan?
1) Speaking
2) Introduction
3) Presentation
4) Practice
5) Listening
6) Production

Hi Ko Kawasaki,
Hmm, to be honest, engaging in social language is not something that you have to create a separate stage for. Instead, it could really be part of any stage, basically as a way of introducing something; therefore, it makes the most sense to include social language in one's introduction stage.
I hope that makes sense and have a great day!

Thank you for your reply.
I’ll put it into the introduction stage. I like the idea of social language to get students have chances to talk in real language situation, and I’d love to take this into my lesson:)
