Dr. Mason

Hi Mr.Mason. I got a question for K to E module2, 2-3useful English.

It asks me to correct some grammatical errors in the given sentences. But I do not know if the changing of words there are included in grammatical error.

For example, if the given sentence is "What is your job." But can I change it into "What do you do for living?"

I hope you see this question.

Sincerely, Do Hyeon.

Hello Do Hyun,

Essentially what you do is you come up with an expression/sentence that resembles the original sentence the most while being grammatically correct.

For the specific example you mentioned, Yes that is the right idea but the correct way of saying that would be "What do you do for a living?" rather than just "What do you do for living?"

I hope this helps!
