→ For "마감일을 넘기다", is it strange to say "goes past deadline"?

-> It is fine but you would probably say “He never goes past the deadline.”

4, 봄학기에 어떤 과목을 청강할지 결정했나요?
→ I wrote a preposition "during" instead of "in". Is it possible? 

-> I would still understand it, but “during” sounds a bit odd.

You would use the word “during” when there is one event in the span of a longer event. So if you were to ask “봄학기에 어디 여행 갈 계획있어요?”

“Do you have any travelling plans during the spring semester?”

Here, the courses/classes (과목) are something that will last the entire duration of the spring semester (봄학기) so saying “during” makes it slightly odd-sounding.

5. 소수의 지원자들만 대청소에 참여했지만 해질 무렵에 작업을 마칠 수 있었다.
→ The answer was "most of the work was completed". But the work could be finished by a few volunteers, so I guess the subject should be "they (a few workers" and I translated into like "they were able to finish it (cleanup) at sunset".
It is awkward?

-> I do not see any problems in your translation! Sounds good to me.
